In and in collaboration with the Olomouc Regional Chamber of Commerce, we decided to provide the professional and general public with an overview of the most significant companies in all industries. After two years, inwe issued the second edition. The prevailing volatile and continuously changing market environment ordained that the booklet be updated again after four years. We wish to show our young people, their parents and education advisors the work disciplines that are in high demand among the largest regional employers.

We wish to highlight that the current market trends point to job security in technical disciplines where there is long-term shortage of qualified workers. Another equally important purpose of this publication is to demonstrate to all starting and prospective entrepreneurs the positive examples of successful companies operating in our region.

Perusing the booklet in your hands will acquaint you with the major companies in our region; companies that use the latest scientific knowledge to advance their know-how and expertise, and such companies are worth knowing in more detail.

Finally, I would like to thank all those who participated in the preparation of this publication. I sincerely hope that it will serve as a practical guide and mentor for all entrepreneurs. For the third time, the Olomouc Region together with the Regional Chamber of Commerce of the Olomouc Region presents the major business entities in this booklet of the Olomouc Region.
